Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi seeks a Consultant Paediatrician to provide comprehensive care for infants to adolescents in a modern tertiary healthcare environment.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, supervise junior staff, and contribute to clinical audits and teaching, with opportunities to advance paediatric services.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics.
• Consultant-level clinical experience in Paediatrics.
• Eligible for DHA/DoH/MOHAP licensing.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis and treatment for paediatric patients.
• Manage acute, chronic and complex paediatric conditions.
• Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds and follow-ups.
• Assess and manage paediatric emergencies when required.
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and coordinate ongoing care.
• Work closely with Paediatric Surgery, Neonatology, Paediatric Cardiology and other specialties.
• Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors and medical staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical case discussions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Support teaching and training of residents and junior medical staff.
• Contribute to the development of paediatric services and clinical protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics .
• American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, Irish Board, CCT/CCST or equivalent preferred.
• Consultant-level clinical experience in Paediatrics.
• Strong experience in a tertiary or multispecialty hospital setting.
• Eligible for DHA/DoH/MOHAP Consultant licensing .
• Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.
