SearchPlus HR Consultancy is supporting a leading UAE healthcare group in recruiting an experienced HOD / Senior Consultant Paediatrics to lead the Paediatrics department and provide high-quality clinical care for both inpatients and outpatients.

The role combines senior clinical responsibilities with departmental leadership, team management, and ongoing development of clinical protocols, teaching, and quality-improvement initiatives within a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics.
• Consultant-level qualification and experience.
• Board certification (American, Canadian, Australian, Irish) or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a tertiary hospital or established paediatric department.
• Previous HOD/Department leadership experience preferred.
• DHA/DoH/MOHAP eligibility or licence preferred.
• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Paediatrics department and clinical team.
• Provide consultant-level care for paediatric patients across inpatient and outpatient services.
• Manage complex and high-risk paediatric cases and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Develop clinical protocols, pathways, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor, and support paediatricians and junior medical staff.

• Contribute to teaching, training, and professional development activities.
