Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy is seeking a Consultant in Paediatrics in Abu Dhabi. The role covers a wide range of acute and chronic paediatric conditions within a modern tertiary hospital and multidisciplinary teams.

You will provide expert clinical care to infants through adolescents, supervise junior staff, participate in audits and CME, and contribute to paediatric service development and clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics.
• Consultant-level clinical experience in Paediatrics in a tertiary or multispecialty hospital.
• Eligible for DHA/DoH/MOHAP Consultant licensing.
• Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis and treatment for paediatric patients.
• Manage acute, chronic and complex paediatric conditions.
• Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds and follow-ups.
• Assess and manage paediatric emergencies when required.
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and coordinate ongoing care.
• Work closely with Paediatric Surgery, Neonatology, Paediatric Cardiology and other specialties.
• Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors and medical staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical case discussions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Support teaching and training of residents and junior medical staff.
• Contribute to the development of paediatric services and clinical protocols.
