Job summary

Allocation Assist in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our healthcare team.

You will provide specialized anesthesia care to pediatric patients and collaborate with surgeons, pediatricians, intensivists and other clinical staff to ensure safe perioperative care.The role requires MBBS/MD, a postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology, and a pediatric anesthesia fellowship is preferred.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship or additional training in Pediatric Anesthesia is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative anesthesia care for pediatric patients.
• Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia assessments and optimize patients prior to procedures.
• Administer general, regional, and sedation anesthesia according to clinical requirements.
• Manage pediatric airway emergencies and complex anesthesia cases.
• Provide appropriate perioperative pain management.
• Monitor patients closely during anesthesia and recovery.
• Collaborate with pediatric surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Follow DOH regulations, hospital policies, and international standards of patient safety.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing medical education.
