Astra ProMed is seeking a Consultant/Specialist Anesthesiologist to join its anesthesia and perioperative care team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves safe, high-quality anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties and active perioperative care.

The candidate should hold a medical degree with a postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology and be eligible for or licensed by DOH Abu Dhabi. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-anesthetic assessment and planning.
• Expertise in general, regional anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care.
• Proven ability to monitor and manage intraoperative events.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care according to clinical needs.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and manage intraoperative complications.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
• Manage airway emergencies and participate in resuscitation and critical care support.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with safety standards.
• Participate in on-call duties and contribute to quality improvement.

A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Anesthesiologist to join its anesthesia and perioperative care team. The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia services across a range of surgical and procedural specialties and contribute to comprehensive perioperative patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care according to clinical expertise and patient requirements
• Monitor patients throughout surgical and procedural interventions and manage intraoperative complications
• Provide post-anesthesia care and ensure appropriate pain management and patient recovery
• Manage airway emergencies and participate in resuscitation and critical care support when required
• Assess and optimize patients with complex medical conditions prior to surgery
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Perform anesthesia-related procedures within the scope of clinical privileges
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and patient-safety standards
• Participate in emergency and on-call duties as required
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient-safety initiatives
• Support teaching, supervision, and professional development of junior medical staff

Requirements

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology / Anaesthesia
• Eligibility for or a valid DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant or Specialist licence, as applicable
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience appropriate to the applied position
• Strong experience in perioperative and anesthesia management
• Current Good Standing Certificate and verifiable professional credentials
• Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and teamwork skills
