Allocation Assist Middle East is recruiting for a leading healthcare facility seeking a consultant with strong expertise in preventive medicine, developmental assessment, chronic disease management, behavioral health, and adolescent well-being. The consultant will manage acute and long‑term pediatric conditions while addressing the physical, emotional, developmental, and social needs of young patients. The role involves close collaboration with pediatric subspecialists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nutritionists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, developmental, and behavioral conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric and adolescent health assessments.
- Provide preventive healthcare including immunizations, screening, developmental surveillance, and anticipatory guidance.
- Monitor growth, nutrition, puberty, physical development, and emotional well‑being.
- Assess and manage adolescent mental health concerns in coordination with psychology and psychiatry services.
- Support patients with eating disorders, obesity, lifestyle‑related illness, and unhealthy behavioral patterns.
- Provide age‑appropriate reproductive health education and confidential adolescent counselling.
- Develop individualized treatment plans addressing physical, psychological, developmental, and social needs.
- Manage chronic conditions requiring regular monitoring and multidisciplinary input.
- Identify developmental delay, learning concerns, behavioral problems, and safeguarding risks.
- Coordinate referrals to pediatric subspecialists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nutritionists, therapists, and other professionals.
- Consult parents and caregivers on child development, disease management, medication, nutrition, and healthy routines.
- Educate adolescents on self‑care, treatment adherence, mental well‑being, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Promote disease prevention, physical activity, balanced nutrition, sleep health, and risk reduction.
- Provide inpatient reviews and outpatient consultations within approved clinical privileges.
- Maintain accurate consultation notes, assessment findings, treatment plans, and follow‑up records.
- Ensure clinical documentation complies with hospital policies and applicable UAE healthcare requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior doctors, medical students, nurses, and allied health staff.
- Participate in continuing medical education and remain current with advances in pediatric and adolescent medicine.
Ideal Profile
- MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Specialist training in Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, or a relevant pediatric subspecialty.
- Fellowship or Board Certification in Pediatrics or Adolescent Medicine.
- Eligibility for an appropriate UAE Consultant License.
- Minimum 5 years of consultant‑level experience in Pediatrics or Adolescent Medicine.
- Strong experience in adolescent healthcare, preventive medicine, and developmental pediatrics.
- Proven ability to manage acute, chronic, behavioral, and psychosocial conditions.
- Knowledge of immunization schedules, developmental screening, growth monitoring, and health promotion.
- Experience managing adolescent mental health concerns, eating disorders, obesity, and lifestyle‑related disease.
- Strong communication, counselling, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust with children, adolescents, parents, and caregivers.
- Capacity to manage sensitive consultations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively within a multicultural and multidisciplinary healthcare team.
