Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological consultations for women of different age groups.
• Diagnose and manage menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and other complex gynecological conditions.
• Conduct prenatal and antenatal assessments and monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing throughout pregnancy.
• Provide postnatal care and support recovery following childbirth.
• Perform and interpret obstetric ultrasound assessments where clinically appropriate.
• Manage routine pregnancies and identify patients requiring higher-risk obstetric monitoring.
• Conduct normal vaginal deliveries according to established clinical protocols.
• Perform Caesarean sections when medically indicated.
• Carry out gynecological procedures within the consultant's approved scope of practice.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, examination findings, investigations, and reproductive goals.
• Educate patients about contraception, family planning, reproductive health, fertility options, and preventive care.
• Counsel patients regarding treatment choices, procedure expectations, pregnancy-related concerns, and long-term health management.
• Collaborate with midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, radiologists, fertility specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate consultation notes, delivery records, operative documentation, investigation results, and follow-up plans.
• Remain current with developments in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive medicine, and women's health.
• Support patient safety, clinical quality, ethical practice, and evidence-based standards throughout care delivery.
