Role Overview
Consultant OB‑GYN – Women Health – Dubai, UAE – Full‑time. An American Board‑certified physician with at least 7 years of consultant‑level experience in obstetrics and gynecology. The role includes comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across all life stages, including prenatal, antenatal, postnatal, deliveries, cesarean sections, surgical gynecology, and long‑term women’s wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality obstetric and gynecologic care for women of all ages, including preventive consultations, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and follow‑up care.
- Manage routine and complex gynecologic conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, endometriosis, ovarian concerns, hormonal issues, and reproductive health conditions.
- Conduct prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care, including pregnancy monitoring, ultrasound review, maternal health assessment, fetal wellbeing checks, and patient counselling.
- Perform normal deliveries, cesarean sections, and gynecological procedures following clinical need and facility protocols.
- Provide patient education on reproductive health, contraception, fertility options, family planning, preventive screening, pregnancy care, and long‑term women’s wellness.
- Develop individualized care plans based on clinical history, exam findings, diagnostic results, pregnancy risk level, patient preferences, and evidence‑based practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, fertility specialists, radiologists, and nurses.
- Support safe management of complex pregnancies and gynecologic cases through timely referral, discussion, and care coordination.
- Monitor patients before and after procedures, ensuring consent, preparation, post‑procedure review, recovery guidance, and complication prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical records, consultation notes, ultrasound findings, delivery records, operative reports, consent forms, discharge summaries, and follow‑up plans.
- Stay updated with advancements and evidence‑based women’s healthcare practices.
- Ensure clinical practice follows DHA or MOH licensing requirements, facility protocols, infection control, patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Ideal Profile
- American Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Minimum 7 years of consultant‑level experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
- At least 3 years of experience in the UAE or GCC region.
- Valid DHA or MOH license as Consultant OB‑GYN.
- Western education or training.
- Strong experience in prenatal, antenatal, postnatal care, normal deliveries, cesarean sections, gynecological procedures, and women’s health management.
- Proven ability to diagnose and treat menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, reproductive health concerns, and complex gynecologic conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
