The consultant will manage routine and complex obstetric and gynecological cases, perform deliveries and surgical procedures, provide prenatal and postnatal care, and guide patients through reproductive health and family planning decisions. The position requires Western education or training, substantial consultant‑level practice, and previous clinical experience in the UAE or GCC region.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate obstetric and gynecological care to women from reproductive age through menopause.
- Conduct routine examinations, preventive screenings, and comprehensive women’s health assessments.
- Diagnose and manage endometriosis, pelvic pain, irregular menstruation, hormonal disorders, and other gynecological conditions.
- Monitor normal and high‑risk pregnancies through scheduled prenatal consultations.
- Review ultrasound findings, blood test results, fetal development, and maternal health indicators.
- Coordinate genetic counselling and additional prenatal investigations when clinically required.
- Manage labor and delivery while prioritizing the safety of the mother and newborn.
- Perform normal deliveries, Caesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures within approved clinical privileges.
- Provide structured postnatal care for mothers and coordinate appropriate newborn follow‑up.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for complex gynecological and reproductive health conditions.
- Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures when conservative treatment is unsuitable.
- Counsel patients on contraception, fertility treatment options, family planning, and reproductive health.
- Explain diagnoses, treatment choices, surgical risks, expected outcomes, and recovery requirements clearly.
- Coordinate patient care with midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, radiologists, fertility specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate consultation notes, delivery records, operative reports, consent documents, and follow‑up plans.
- Follow hospital policies, infection‑control procedures, patient‑safety standards, and UAE healthcare regulations.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, multidisciplinary meetings, and departmental activities.
- Remain current with developments in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive medicine, and minimally invasive surgery.
- Support junior doctors and clinical staff through teaching, supervision, and professional guidance.
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- American Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid DHA or MOH Consultant license in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in the UAE or wider GCC region.
- Western education or clinical training is mandatory.
- Broad experience across obstetric, gynecological, surgical, and reproductive health services.
- Strong competence in pregnancy monitoring, labor management, normal delivery, and Caesarean section.
- Experience treating endometriosis, pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, and complex gynecological conditions.
- Knowledge of prenatal diagnostics, ultrasound review, genetic counselling, contraception, and fertility care.
- Excellent communication, counselling, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trusting professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make timely decisions in maternity and gynecological emergencies.
- Commitment to confidentiality, evidence‑based medicine, ethical practice, and patient‑centered care.
