Role Overview

Consultant OBGYN – Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Full‑time position in the Hospital and Health Care industry.

Salary: 70,000–90,000 AED per year (estimated).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for both high‑risk and low‑risk pregnancies.
• Provide comprehensive obstetric care including pregnancy monitoring, delivery planning, maternal risk assessment, fetal well‑being review, and post‑natal follow‑up.
• Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, hormonal imbalance, reproductive health concerns, and fertility‑related presentations.
• Perform gynecological surgeries including laparoscopy, hysterectomy, fertility‑related procedures, and other approved obstetric or gynecological interventions.
• Support safe childbirth services through clinical decision‑making, emergency readiness, and collaboration with maternity care teams.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, clinical findings, diagnostic results, reproductive goals, and evidence‑based guidelines.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, anesthetists, fertility specialists, radiologists, nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals for coordinated patient care.
• Provide patient education on pregnancy care, family planning, reproductive health, preventive screenings, contraception, fertility options, and lifestyle‑related women’s health guidance.
• Participate in clinical audits, research activities, morbidity reviews, departmental meetings, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate consultation notes, antenatal records, delivery documentation, operative reports, consent forms, treatment plans, and follow‑up records in line with healthcare standards.
• Promote preventive women’s health strategies through screening, early diagnosis, patient counseling, and long‑term wellness planning.
• Ensure ethical practice, patient confidentiality, informed consent, infection control, surgical safety, and patient‑centered communication in all clinical activities.

Ideal Profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology, or a related women's health field is preferred.
• Eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensing.
• Minimum 5–7 years post‑certification experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Strong surgical and diagnostic skills across obstetric and gynecological domains.
• Proven experience managing high‑risk pregnancy, low‑risk maternity care, gynecological procedures, reproductive health concerns, and preventive women’s health services.
• Practical knowledge of laparoscopy, hysterectomy, fertility‑related procedures, pregnancy care, childbirth management, and post‑natal follow‑up.
• Excellent communication skills with cultural sensitivity and ability to support women and families through important health decisions.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a busy hospital or maternity care environment.
• Commitment to evidence‑based medicine, clinical governance, accurate documentation, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
