The Consultant - Movement Disorders and DBS will provide specialized diagnosis and long-term management for patients with complex movement disorders requiring advanced neurological assessment and treatment. The role combines pharmacological care, Deep Brain Stimulation evaluation and programming, device-assisted therapies, rehabilitation planning, and close coordination with functional neurosurgery and other neurosciences specialties. The consultant will play a central role in determining suitability for advanced interventions and supporting patients throughout preoperative assessment, surgery, postoperative programming, and ongoing treatment optimization. Strong multidisciplinary collaboration will help improve mobility, functional independence, symptom control, and quality of life for patients with progressive neurological conditions.
Candidates should hold an MBBS or equivalent recognized medical degree and have completed an accredited Neurology Residency Program. Board Certification in Neurology is required. Formal fellowship training in Movement Disorders and Deep Brain Stimulation from a recognized international center is essential. Candidates should have a minimum of 8-10 years of post-specialization clinical experience, including substantial consultant-level responsibility for patients with complex movement disorders.
