Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex neurological conditions.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, migraine, neuropathy, and movement disorders.
- Interpret MRI, CT scans, EEG, EMG, lumbar punctures, and other neurodiagnostic investigations for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide consultant-level care for neurological emergencies, including acute stroke management and seizure-related emergencies.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and complex neurological case discussions.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, and internal medicine teams for integrated patient care.
- Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, fellows, and allied healthcare staff.
- Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, research activities, and continuing medical education programs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital standards and specialist regulatory requirements.
- Support patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and long-term neurological care.
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree from a recognized accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Neurology (Saudi Board, Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Board, or European equivalent) is mandatory.
- Valid specialist license or eligibility for consultant neurologist licensing within GCC healthcare systems.
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-specialization consultant-level experience in clinical neurology.
- Strong expertise in neuroimaging and neurophysiological diagnostics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Strong commitment to evidence-based neurological care and patient safety.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
