Astra ProMed in Dubai seeks a Western-trained Consultant in Critical Care / Intensive Care Medicine to lead high-acuity care in a premier hospital.

The successful candidate will provide consultant-level clinical leadership, supervise junior staff, and collaborate across anaesthesia, emergency medicine and surgery to optimise patient outcomes. DHA licensing support is provided, with comprehensive housing and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Western-trained consultant in Critical Care / Intensive Care Medicine.
• Strong post-qualification clinical experience in critical care.
• Current professional registration/licence in country of practice.
• Eligibility for DHA licensing in Dubai, subject to DHA assessment and approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment and management of critically ill patients.

We are seeking a Western-trained Consultant in Critical Care / Intensive Care Medicine to join a leading hospital in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide specialist and consultant-level care to critically ill patients and contribute to multidisciplinary intensive care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment and management of critically ill patients.
• Manage patients requiring intensive monitoring, organ support and advanced critical care.
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions and treatment planning.
• Perform and supervise critical care procedures within the physician's scope of practice.
• Respond to acute deterioration and medical emergencies.
• Collaborate closely with anaesthesia, emergency medicine, surgery and other specialist teams.
• Supervise and support junior doctors and clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance and patient-safety initiatives.
• Contribute to teaching, training and professional development activities

Requirements

Qualifications

• Western-trained Consultant in Critical Care / Intensive Care Medicine.
• Recognised specialist/consultant qualification from an approved Western jurisdiction.
• Strong post-qualification clinical experience in critical care.
• Experience managing complex adult critically ill patients.
• Current professional registration/licence in the country of practice.
• Eligibility for DHA licensing in Dubai, subject to DHA assessment and approval.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary hospital environment

Benefits

• The maximum package is AED 45,000 per month, inclusive of housing and travel allowance. Additional benefits include:
