Consultant Clinical Psychologist

The Consultant Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services within the Abu Dhabi CAMHS General Adults Specialist Service Maternal Mental Health and Eating Disorders Intellectual Disability and Mental Health of Older Adults programs.

This position requires a commitment to evidence-based practice and the highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a diverse range of mental health conditions.
• Contributing to service development, research, and supervision of junior staff.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Conducting therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from a recognized program.
• Postdoctoral training or equivalent experience in relevant specialisms (e.g., perinatal mental health, eating disorders, intellectual disability, older adult mental health).
• Current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Health Authority - Abu Dhabi).
• Extensive experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of mental health conditions across different age groups and presentations.
