NMC GROUP SERVICES in Dubai seeks a licensed clinical psychologist to conduct psychiatric interviews, collect data for diagnosis, and provide individual, group, and family therapies. The role includes psychometric testing, research, and community advisory work, with after-hours availability as needed.
Applicants should hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, have at least 2 years of clinical experience, and possess DOH licensure for Dubai. English fluency is essential; Arabic is a plus.
Conducts psychiatric interviews and collects data for diagnostic purposes.
Provides various psychotherapies, including individual, group and family therapies.
Offers counseling for couples with marital conflicts.
Uses behavioral methods for the treatment of children and adults and plans the frequency, intensity and duration of therapy.
Performs psychometric (mental measuring) testing for diagnosis and evaluation of therapy.
Engages in research and educational activities that will improve methods and techniques for the management of emotionally disturbed patients.
Keeps current with ideas in the fields of personality development and adjustment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental disorders to assist in the planning of mental health progress.
Provides advice to community organizations and participates in related psychological and welfare activities.
Takes after hours or weekend calls as required by specific cases or in emergency situations as requested.
Performs related duties as assigned by the Chief Psychiatrist.
Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized college or university.
At least with 2 years' experience in the field of clinical psychology.
Comprehensive knowledge of medical ethics with regard to the obligation to maintain work confidentiality.
Working knowledge of intelligence, achievement, interest, personality and other psychological tests and measuring devices.
Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Dubai, UAE.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families.
