Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessments:
    • Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand patients' psychological needs, presenting issues, and mental health history.
    • Utilize a variety of assessment tools and methodologies to formulate accurate diagnoses.
  • Individual and Group Therapy:
    • Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to clients with diverse mental health concerns.
    • Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Treatment Planning:
    • Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating therapeutic goals and intervention strategies.
    • Periodically review and adjust treatment plans based on clients' progress.
  • Crisis Intervention:
    • Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate psychological support to individuals in distress.
    • Collaborate with the crisis intervention team and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team:
    • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
    • Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and treatment options.
  • Conduct workshops or group sessions to promote mental health awareness.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment reports, progress notes, and treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Supervision and Consultation:
    • Provide supervision to junior clinical staff and psychology interns as needed.
    • Offer consultation to other healthcare professionals on psychological aspects of patient care.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Abu Dhabi.
  • Proven experience in clinical psychology, including assessment and psychotherapy.
  • Expertise in a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions.
  • Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and professional standards.
