Job summary

Aster Retail's Business Intelligence & PMO lead will drive data-led decision making across the omnichannel business, responsible for analytics, performance reporting, PMO governance, and end-to-end data visibility. You will partner with Finance, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and IT to capture, validate, and present actionable insights that improve profitability, service levels, and customer experience.

Job description

The Business Intelligence & PMO lead will play a critical role in driving data-led decision making across Aster Retail's omnichannel business. The role is responsible for business analytics, performance reporting, PMO governance, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and end-to-end data visibility across procurement, supply chain, warehousing, distribution, e-commerce, and retail pharmacy operations.

The incumbent will partner with Business Leadership, Finance, Retail operations, Supply Chain, and technology teams to capture, analyze, validate, and present actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, profitability, service levels, and customer experience.

Desired Candidate Profile

Business Intelligence & Analytics

• Develop and maintain enterprise dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reports using Power BI.
• Analyze business performance across retail stores, e-commerce, quick commerce, pharmacy operations, and distribution channels.
• Convert large datasets into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Create automated reporting frameworks to support leadership decision-making.
• Monitor sales, inventory, availability, margins, stock aging, procurement efficiency, fulfillment KPIs, and customer service metrics.
• Perform trend analysis, forecasting, and root cause analysis to support business growth initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting platforms.
• Articulation of Business performance in terms of presentable BI Dash Boards with Insights

Data Management & Governance

• Capture and monitor data across the complete retail pharmacy value chain.
• Establish data governance standards and reporting controls.
• Extract, cleanse, transform, and validate data using SQL and other analytical tools.
• Maintain master data quality and support data standardization initiatives.
• Work with business functions to improve data availability and reporting accuracy.

PMO & Project Governance

• Support strategic business transformation initiatives across retail and omnichannel operations.
• Track project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and action plans.
• Develop project dashboards and executive management reports.
• Facilitate governance meetings and stakeholder reviews.
• Monitor project delivery timelines and business outcomes.
• Ensure alignment between business requirements and execution teams.
• Align Partner deliveries based on business priorities & Impact.

Retail Pharmacy & Supply Chain Analytics

• Analyze end-to-end business processes covering:

• Retail Brick & Mortar Stores
• Procurement
• Finance
• Inventory Planning
• Supply Chain Operations
• Warehousing
• Online/ eCom Sales
• Distribution, Home Delivery & Last Mile Fulfillment

• Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvement opportunities.
• Build KPI frameworks for operational efficiency and service excellence.
• Support demand planning and inventory optimization initiatives.

D365 & Systems Management

• Act as a business liaison for Microsoft Dynamics 365 related reporting and analytics requirements.
• Understand data flows across D365 modules and business processes.
• Coordinate with IT and system vendors on report enhancements and data requirements.
• Ensure business reporting requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions.

Finance & Commercial Coordination

• Partner closely with Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams for performance tracking.
• Support business reporting related to:
• Revenue
• Gross Margin
• Inventory Health
• Working Capital
• Operational Efficiency
• While financial reconciliations remain with Finance, the role will ensure accurate data capture, validation, and reporting across all transaction stages.
• Provide analytical support during budgeting, forecasting, and business reviews.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Partner closely with Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams for performance tracking.
• Monitor vendor deliverables and service levels.
• Coordinate requirements gathering and solution implementation.
