Job summary

GEMS Education UAE in Dubai is seeking a Construction Teacher to deliver BTEC GCSE and A-Level construction learning at GEMS Metropole School, with a start in August 2026. The role combines practical workshop delivery with academic theory, aligned to sustainability and UK curriculum expectations.

You will plan schemes of work, assess learners and foster industry links while maintaining high standards of safeguarding and inclusive teaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or construction-related degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching BTEC Construction within a UK curriculum environment.
• Strong digital skills and ability to communicate with students, colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach Construction lessons aligned with BTEC and UK curriculum requirements.
• Deliver content for GCSE and A-Level students as assigned.
• Develop schemes of work balancing technical knowledge with applied learning.
• Explain construction principles through industry-relevant examples.
• Teach safe working practices and responsible use of equipment.
• Prepare students for examinations, controlled assessments and projects.
