Job summary

Al Ashram Contracting is seeking a motivated Purchase Officer in Dubai to source and procure materials and services for construction projects, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency and timely delivery.

You will negotiate contracts, coordinate with project managers and engineers, manage POs and monitor stock levels, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Purchase Officer or in a similar procurement role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment and UAE supplier networks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and make informed procurement decisions.
• Proficient in procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and competitive pricing of materials and services.
• Negotiate purchase contracts and terms with vendors to secure the best deals.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to understand procurement needs and schedules.
• Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards throughout the procurement process.
• Collaborate with finance for budget management and invoice processing.
• Continuously research market trends and new products relevant to construction materials.
