Job summary

Benchmark building contracting s.p.s l.l.c is seeking a procurement professional to assist in purchasing construction materials and related items for site needs in Ajman, UAE. The role involves requesting quotations, comparing offers, and coordinating with suppliers to meet project timelines.

You will prepare purchase requests, manage records, and work with site engineers and project managers to ensure materials meet specifications and delivery terms.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of procurement or purchasing experience; UAE experience preferred.
• Experience in building contracting, construction materials, or MEP procurement is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, electrical items, plumbing materials, and general building supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing construction materials, electrical items, plumbing materials, tools, and other site requirements.
• Request quotations from suppliers and compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and purchase requests for approval.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding material availability, pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
• Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
• Maintain supplier databases, purchase records, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Coordinate with site engineers, storekeepers, accounts staff, and project managers.
• Assist in identifying new suppliers and negotiating competitive prices.
• Track material requirements and maintain procurement documentation.
• Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and approved requirements.
