Job summary

Confidential Construction is seeking an experienced Purchaser in the UAE to support procurement of permanent construction materials for building projects. You will manage sourcing, supplier evaluation, quotation comparison and PO placement, coordinating with project and technical teams to meet specifications and schedules.

The role requires direct experience with permanent materials in a main contracting environment and a strong knowledge of UAE supplier market dynamics.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of construction purchasing experience in the UAE.
• Experience working with a main contractor on building projects.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications and material requirements before placing orders.
• Experience sourcing and evaluating suppliers, comparing quotations, negotiating terms and issuing purchase orders.
• Knowledge of the UAE construction materials and supplier market.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full purchasing process for construction materials.
• Source suitable suppliers and review quotations against project specs and drawings.
• Perform technical and commercial comparisons, negotiate terms and issue POs.
