Job summary

Azizi Developments in Dubai seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead civil and swimming pool construction projects across prime Dubai locations. You will plan, schedule, and supervise multi-discipline site teams to deliver on time and within budget.

You will review drawings, method statements and submittals for quality and compliance, ensuring adherence to UAE regulations and HSE standards. Strong coordination with clients and authorities is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management.
• 4–5 years in swimming pool and aquatic facility construction in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of pool systems, waterproofing, and finishing materials.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees and related approvals.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all phases of civil and swimming pool construction projects, from initial planning and mobilization through to final handover and client sign-off. Develop detailed project schedules, work programs, and resource plans, ensuring all milestones are met within agreed timelines and budgets. Supervise and coordinate site teams including civil engineers, foremen, pool specialists, and subcontractors, ensuring productivity, discipline, and quality on site at all times. Oversee all swimming pool construction activities including excavation, structural concrete works, gunite/shotcrete application, waterproofing, tiling, filtration and pump room installations, chemical dosing systems, and all finishing works. Review and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals to ensure works are executed as per design specifications. Ensure strict compliance with UAE municipal regulations, authority requirements, and relevant HSE standards across all site activities. Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and local authorities for site inspections, approvals, and NOC requirements. Monitor and control project costs, identify potential risks early, and implement effective mitigation measures to protect project margins and timelines. Conduct regular site progress meetings and prepare detailed progress reports for senior management and clients. Manage procurement coordination for construction materials, pool equipment, filtration systems, and plant in alignment with the project schedule. Handle all site documentation including RFIs, variation orders, material submittals, daily reports, and inspection records. Maintain the highest standards of quality control throughout all stages of construction, ensuring works meet client expectations and contractual obligations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 4 to 5 years specifically focused on swimming pool and aquatic facility construction. Proven track record of successfully delivering swimming pool and civil construction projects within the UAE. Strong technical knowledge of pool construction techniques including gunite/shotcrete, fiberglass, vinyl liner, overflow, and skimmer pool systems. Solid understanding of waterproofing systems, filtration equipment, chemical dosing, and pool finishing materials. Familiarity with UAE authority approval and permitting processes including Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, and other relevant bodies. Proficient in reading and interpreting civil, structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
