Job summary

Client of Ladwig Consulting seeks a senior construction project leader to own on-site delivery for complex residential and mixed-use developments in Dubai. You will coordinate contractors, consultants, and engineering teams, review drawings and RFIs, and drive buildability and program adherence.

The role requires UAE experience and a Civil Engineering degree, with a proven track record delivering projects from start to handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant construction experience in residential/mixed-use developments.
• UAE experience with Dubai delivery of at least 1–2 projects.
• Experience with main contractor or real estate developer.
• Strong ability to review Shop Drawings, RFIs and technical documentation.
• Proactive, decisive and solution-oriented approach.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of construction execution and day-to-day project delivery on site
• Manage and coordinate contractors consultants subcontractors and engineering teams
• Review Shop Drawings RFIs and technical submissions
• identify clashes and buildability issues and drive practical solutions
• Coordinate architectural structural MEP and fit-out interfaces
• Monitor construction progress against programme and proactively address delays and delivery risks
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings specifications quality standards and project requirements
• Drive value engineering and cost optimisation opportunities without compromising quality or the intended product
• Oversee inspections testing snagging handover and project close-out
• Maintain strong control over quality safety and contractor performance
• Represent the developer on site and take ownership of resolving construction and coordination issues

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant construction experience , preferably within residential or mixed-use developments.
• Proven participation in end-to-end project delivery is mandatory , with experience taking projects through the full lifecycle to completion and handover.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• UAE experience is essential, including successful delivery of at least 1–2 projects in Dubai .
• Previous experience with a main contractor or real estate developer is required
• Strong hands-on knowledge of construction execution, sequencing, buildability and site operations.
• Excellent ability to review Shop Drawings, RFIs and technical documentation and resolve site issues.
• Strong understanding of architectural, structural, MEP and fit-out coordination.
• Good knowledge of Dubai construction procedures, approvals, inspections and handover processes.
• Strong ownership mentality with a proactive, decisive and solution-oriented approach.
