Job summary

ADC seeks an experienced HSE Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems for large-scale construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on promoting a proactive safety culture, conducting inspections and audits, and ensuring ISO 45001 compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of HSE experience in construction, strong incident investigation skills, and the ability to lead training and risk assessments on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field.
• HSE Diploma Level 6 or equivalent.
• Certified/Lead Auditor for ISO 45001 preferred.
• Minimum 6 years HSE experience; 3+ years in HSE Engineer role.
• Experience implementing ISO 45001 management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE management systems for projects.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments and follow-up actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; close corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety training.
• Review and monitor HSE plans, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHAD/ADOSH and client requirements.
• Prepare HSE reports, statistics and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and regulators on HSE matters.
