Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as an HSE Engineer in construction or fitout.
• Strong knowledge of UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Certification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in HS&E reporting and management software.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Provide training and guidance to employees and subcontractors on health, safety, and environmental best practices.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and compile detailed reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and maintain documentation related to safety audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety systems on site.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.

• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
