Job summary

Penspen is hiring a Construction Engineer (Mechanical) to lead mechanical construction activities on-site for oil and gas projects. You will supervise site execution, ensure compliance with drawings and standards, and coordinate with contractors and cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years in Oil & Gas, including 5+ years in the GCC, with hands-on experience in field instruments, DCS/PLCs and onshore projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years' Oil & Gas experience, with at least 5 years in GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar position on international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• Experience with major onshore projects and strong codes/standards knowledge.
• Hands-on with field instruments, DCS, PLCs, and control systems.

We are hiring Construction Engineers (Mechanical) with proven experience in the oil and gas sector. The role involves managing Mechanical construction activities at the project site, ensuring that all work is executed in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, industry standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise site execution of Mechanical construction activities.
• Ensure mechanical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Review technical drawings, construction methodologies, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to approved work procedures and schedules.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and communicate project updates to the project management team.

Qualification / Experience (Skills)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in Oil & Gas (5) years in GCC region.
• Must have at least Five (5) years of experience in similar position for international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
• Experience with major onshore projects.
• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with field instruments, DCS, PLCs, and control systems.
