Job summary

Penspen is hiring a Construction Engineer (Mechanical) to lead mechanical construction activities on-site for oil and gas projects. You will supervise site execution, ensure compliance with drawings and standards, and coordinate with contractors and cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years in Oil & Gas, including 5+ years in the GCC, with hands-on experience in field instruments, DCS/PLCs and onshore projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years' Oil & Gas experience, with at least 5 years in GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar position on international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• Experience with major onshore projects and strong codes/standards knowledge.
• Hands-on with field instruments, DCS, PLCs, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise site execution of Mechanical construction activities.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Review drawings, methods, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure HSE compliance.
