## Communications Manager – United Arab EmiratesApply: Hybrid: Dubai United Arab Emirates: Full time: Posted 8 Days Ago: End Date: October 12, 2026 (5 days left to apply): 26992100**Role summary** The **Communications Manager** for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) supports the Public Affairs Officer of the UAE in enhancing and protecting the reputation of Citi in this key Middle East market. The Communications Manager for UAE will report to the Head of Communications for Middle East and Pakistan and be responsible for supporting the development and execution of proactive external and internal communications for Citi in the UAE. From time to time, the Communications Manager will also support communications programs in other Middle East markets. The role will involve executing communications to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand in the market through communication with Citi's various stakeholders, external and internal. The role will also work with various teams across the organisation globally. **External Communications:*** Developing, leading and executing on external communications strategy and plans for Citi in the UAE;* Managing proactive engagement with key media outlets across the UAE and region-wide;* Developing messaging, briefing documents and speaking notes for senior executives;* Amplifying brand activities and events in the external market;* Identifying opportunities and continuously building a strong pipeline of media and social media activity, organising and managing speaking opportunities;* Supporting evaluation and metrics related to Citi’s communications in the market. **Internal Communications and Engagement:*** Developing and executing internal engagement plans and initiatives;* Planning and managing internal communications channels and content;* Planning and managing employee engagement events; developing content for events.* Evaluation and implementation of internal communications metrics. **Reputation risk assessment, crisis and issues management:*** Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. **Volunteerism:*** Development and execution of plans to support volunteering activities and other initiatives related to Citi’s partnerships and relationships with NGOs.**Skills and Attributes** There is a strong focus on stakeholder engagement that requires being comfortable working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. * 8 - 10 years of professional experience in Communications and Public Relations, either in-house or agency preferred* Comprehensive understanding and a proven track record in media relations and stakeholder engagement.* A team player with strong leadership qualities, excellent planning and project skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as needed* Excellent communications skills -editing, writing and digital communications skills.* Experience in content creation for internal and external purposes* Social media content development experience and working knowledge of major social media platforms* Creativity and an ability to show initiative; strong relationship management skills, ability to lead and influence at a senior level* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business management, communications, marketing or related field* Language skills: Fluency in English is required.
