Job summary

Citigroup Inc. seeks a Communications Manager for the UAE to support the Public Affairs Officer and enhance Citi’s reputation in the UAE market. The role involves external and internal communications, coordinating with teams globally, and protecting Citi’s brand across stakeholders.

The position requires 8–10 years in Communications/Public Relations, strong media relations skills, and leadership with excellent writing and digital communications capabilities. Fluent English; Arabic a plus.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of professional experience in Communications and Public Relations.
• Proven track record in media relations and stakeholder engagement.
• Team player with leadership, planning and project skills, able to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communications skills - editing, writing and digital communications.
• Experience in content creation for internal and external purposes.
• Social media content development experience and knowledge of major platforms.
• Creativity and initiative; strong relationship management; able to lead at senior level.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing, leading and executing external communications strategy and plans for Citi in the UAE; managing proactive engagement with key media outlets across the UAE and region.
• Developing messaging, briefing documents and speaking notes for senior executives; amplifying brand activities and events.
• Identifying opportunities and building a strong pipeline of media and social media activity; organizing speaking opportunities.
• Supporting evaluation and metrics related to Citi’s communications in the market.
• Developing and executing internal engagement plans and initiatives; planning and managing internal channels and content; planning employee engagement events.
• Evaluation and implementation of internal communications metrics.
• Development and execution of plans to support volunteering activities and NGO partnerships.
