Job Description
The Communications Manager is responsible fordeveloping and implementing IFZA's external and internal communicationsstrategies to strengthen the organization's reputation, enhance employeeengagement, and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
The role manages corporate public relations, media engagement, internalcommunications platforms, employee communications campaigns, and key corporateevents. The Communications Manager also leads the planning, contentdevelopment, and execution of IFZA's bi-annual Town Hall meetings and otherinternal engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with IFZA's strategicpriorities, culture, and values.
Public Relations & CorporateCommunications
- Develop andexecute IFZA's public relations and corporate communications strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with media,journalists, industry influencers, and strategic stakeholders.
- Manage pressreleases, media statements, executive articles, opinion pieces, andcorporate announcements.
- Coordinatemedia interviews, speaking opportunities, podcasts, and externalengagements.
- Monitor mediacoverage and industry trends, providing regular reporting and strategicrecommendations.
- Support crisis and issue managementcommunications when required.
- Ensureconsistency of brand messaging across all external communicationschannels.
- Manage externalcommunications agencies and suppliers where applicable.
Internal Communications
- Develop and execute IFZA's internalcommunications strategy to support employee engagement and organisationalalignment.
- Manage internal communication channels,including intranet, newsletters, email communications, and leadershipupdates.
- Create andimplement employee communication campaigns relating to business updates,culture, people initiatives, and strategic priorities.
- Partner with People & Culture andbusiness functions to ensure clear and timely communication oforganisational initiatives.
- Monitorreadership, engagement, and communication effectiveness through regularreporting and analytics.
- Maintaineditorial calendars and communication plans for all internal channels.
Town Halls & Corporate Events
- Lead theend-to-end planning and delivery of IFZA's bi-annual Town Hall events.
- Develop eventthemes, communication plans, executive presentations, scripts, keymessages, and employee engagement activities.
- Coordinate withleadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-qualitycontent and delivery.
- Manage internalevent communications before, during, and after events.
- Support additional employee engagementevents, culture initiatives, recognition programmes, and strategicinternal campaigns throughout the year.
- Coordinate suppliers, event agencies,production teams, and vendors when required.
- Measure eventeffectiveness and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Content & Editorial Management
- Oversee thecreation of high-quality written, visual, and digital communicationscontent.
- Ensure allcommunications reflect IFZA's tone of voice and brand standards.
- Manage communication calendars and workflowacross multiple stakeholders.
- Review andapprove communication materials before publication.
Performance & Reporting
- Track and report on communication KPIs,including media coverage, engagement, reach, readership, and sentiment.
- Produce regular communications performancereports and strategic recommendations.
- Use data andfeedback to continuously improve communications effectiveness.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations,Internal Communications, or related fields.
- Demonstratedexperience managing corporate reputation and media relations.
- Proven track record in employeecommunications and engagement programmes.
- Experienceplanning and delivering large-scale corporate events, leadership forums,and town hall meetings.
- Experienceworking with senior executives and leadership teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, PublicRelations, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Exceptionalwritten and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strongpresentation and storytelling abilities.
- Proven mediarelations and stakeholder management experience.
- Experiencedeveloping executive-level communications materials.
- Strong projectmanagement and event coordination skills.
- Excellentattention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, planning, andorganisational skills.
- Experienceusing internal communications platforms, email marketing tools, andreporting dashboards.
