Job summary

Emirates Flight Catering in Dubai is seeking a Commis I to support kitchen operations. You will assist in final processing, cooking, dishing, and cutting under senior guidance, while ensuring quality and proper storage of food items and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Senior Secondary School certificate.
• 1 year experience including any apprenticeship or industrial training duration.
• Active learning and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual products and activities within allocated area following seniors' guidance.
• Support commi-I responsibilities including final processing, cooking, dishing and cutting as applicable.
• Ensure quality of food items and proper storage and handling as briefed by seniors.
• Distribute and dish food according to specified menus while complying with hygiene procedures.
• Familiarize with products, processes, menus, ingredients and equipment.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness in kitchen, storage, chillers and freezers.
• Suggest ideas to reduce costs where possible.
• Report faults or damages to supervisor and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Comply with quality, health, safety and environmental policies.
