Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Commis I for our Employee Restaurant culinary team at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa. You will assist senior chefs, prepare mise en place, and help maintain high quality in a luxury resort kitchen.

The role requires culinary qualification or relevant kitchen experience, ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected as part of a busy culinary operation.

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification or relevant kitchen operations experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking according to established recipes and instructions
• Supporting senior chefs with daily food production
• Maintaining mise en place for daily meal requirements
• Ensuring proper storage and FIFO procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness of workstation and equipment
• Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Supporting other kitchen sections when needed
