InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Commis I to join our Employee Restaurant culinary team in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. You will assist chefs, prepare ingredients, and contribute to high-quality meals for colleagues.

The ideal candidate has a culinary qualification or relevant kitchen experience, strong teamwork, and a proactive attitude. The role requires physical capability and flexibility across shifts, including weekends and public

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification or relevant kitchen operations experience.
• Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy culinary team.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and instructions.
• Supporting the Chef de Partie and senior chefs with daily food production.
• Preparing mise en place according to daily meal requirements.
• Checking ingredients and ensuring proper storage.
• Following FIFO and stock rotation procedures.
• Maintaining clean and organized workstation, equipment and areas.
• Adhering to food safety, hygiene and health standards.
• Supporting other kitchen sections when needed.
