Job summary

Rixos Premium Dubai, home to Josephine in JBR, seeks enthusiastic Commis Chefs to join its culinary team. You will support senior kitchen staff with preparation, cooking, and mise en place in a luxurious, high-volume restaurant setting overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel, restaurant or professional kitchen preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene practices.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Desire to learn new techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie with daily prep.
• Prepare ingredients per recipes and instructions from senior chefs.
• Assist with cooking during service.
• Follow portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling and FIFO rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Comply with HACCP, health and safety requirements.
• Report shortages or issues to the Chef de Partie.
• Support other kitchen sections when required.
• Show willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Collaborate with the wider kitchen team for smooth service.
