BEAMS Abu Dhabi, a cultural bridge between Japan and Abu Dhabi, seeks a Commis Chef to support daily kitchen operations at ZUIKOAN in Abu Dhabi. You will assist in food preparation, plating, cleaning and kitchen organisation while learning from Chef de Partie and the F&B team.

The role emphasizes following recipes, HACCP procedures and maintaining high quality. A genuine interest in food, hospitality and teamwork is essential for this hands-on environment.

Competenze

• Previous experience in a kitchen, café, restaurant, bakery or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Culinary qualification or relevant kitchen training is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• Genuine interest in cooking, food and hospitality.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions and established standards.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Good communication skills and functional English.
• Professional presentation and strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on kitchen environment.

• Support daily food preparation and kitchen production.
• Assist with thawing, preparation, fruit cutting and plating according to approved standards.
• Support dessert preparation and presentation.
• Follow approved recipes, portions and preparation methods.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Follow HACCP, food-safety, hygiene and allergen-control procedures.
• Monitor product condition, labels and shelf life and report concerns to the senior kitchen team.
• Maintain clean and organised kitchen, preparation and storage areas.
• Support stock replenishment and communicate product requirements to the senior team.
• Record and minimise food waste.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning and kitchen handovers.
• Support the team during busy service periods, launches and events.
• Work collaboratively with Chef de Partie and F&B team members.
