Job summary

BEAMS Abu Dhabi is hiring a Commis Chef to support the kitchen team at ZUIKOAN in Abu Dhabi, delivering consistent food quality and service. You will assist with daily food preparation, plating, and kitchen organisation, following approved recipes and HACCP guidelines, while developing your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and F&B team, contributing to moments of guest experiences and events, and supporting stock, cleanliness, and food

Qualifications

• Previous experience in kitchen, café, restaurant, bakery or hospitality environment.
• Culinary qualification or relevant kitchen training is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• Genuine interest in cooking, food and hospitality.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions and established standards.

Responsibilities

• Support daily food preparation and kitchen production.
• Assist with thawing, preparation, fruit cutting and plating according to approved standards.
• Support dessert preparation and presentation.
• Follow approved recipes, portions and preparation methods.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Follow HACCP, food-safety, hygiene and allergen-control procedures.
• Monitor product condition, labels and shelf life and report concerns to the senior kitchen team.
• Maintain clean and organised kitchen, preparation and storage areas.
• Support stock replenishment and communicate product requirements to the senior team.
• Record and minimise food waste.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning and kitchen handovers.
• Support the team during busy service periods, launches and events.
• Work collaboratively with Chef de Partie and F&B team members.

As a Commis Chef, you will support the daily kitchen operation through food preparation, plating, cleaning and kitchen organisation.

You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and wider F&B team, following approved recipes, food-safety procedures and quality standards while developing your culinary skills in a professional and collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
