Job summary

Anantara Retreat Santorini Abu Dhabi is seeking a hands-on culinary team member to support food preparation and service, including mise en place for outlets. You will follow Anantara guidelines to deliver high-quality dishes and contribute ideas for presentation improvements.

You will keep workspaces clean, uphold food safety and sanitation standards, and help manage property and facilities while engaging in departmental training and event support to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and service of food, and prepare mise en place for outlets as required.
• Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings, and contribute improvements to guidelines.
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy to maintain hygienic surroundings.
• Maintain food safety and protection; follow dating, storage, rotation and sanitation practices.
• Take responsibility for looking after hotel property and facilities.
• Participate in departmental training to improve skills and service levels.
• Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
• Assist at events, banquets and other functions as required.
• Adhere to personal hygiene, grooming standards, fire safety and health & safety rules.

• To assist in the preparation & service of food, prepare mise en place for the outlets as required.
• Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests. Continually look to recommend improvements and additions to the Anantara presentation guidelines.
• To keep all working areas clean and tidy to maintain hygienic surroundings.
• Maintain food safety & protection. All food in working areas should follow food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, rotation, etc. Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Taking responsibility for looking after all hotel property and facilities.
• Participating in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels.
• Maintaining and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
• Assisting at events, banquets and other functions as required
