Jumeirah Living Marina Gate is seeking a Commis 3 for Amara Lounge - Kitchen to join a luxury hospitality team in Dubai. The role focuses on mise en place, ingredient prep, and assisting senior chefs to maintain quality and presentation standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a 4- or 5-star hotel kitchen, basic culinary certification, and a solid grasp of HACCP and hygiene practices. Strong teamwork and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in luxury hotel kitchens or high-volume restaurants.
• Basic culinary certification or diploma is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, hygiene, and food safety practices.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Good teamwork and communication to support kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Gather, measure, mix and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits and meats per standards.
• Cut and season meats as directed by senior staff for consistency.
• Prepare basic dishes such as salads and sauces as instructed.
• Follow recipes and plating guides to ensure consistency.
• Stock and organize food items in fridges/freezers to maintain freshness.
