Jumeirah is seeking a Commis 1 for its New French Concept at Jumeirah Al Qasr. The role involves executing techniques, plating to precise standards, and operating a range of kitchen equipment within a luxury setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience in luxury hospitality, a Culinary Arts degree, and a proven ability to work in a multicultural environment. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and UAE-based employment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in various kitchen areas within luxury hospitality.
• College degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent from an accredited school.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment.

Responsabilités

• Execute cooking techniques and plating to exact specifications by the Demi Chef | Chef De Partie.
• Operate kitchen equipment with correct temperatures for cooking and baking.
• Follow food safety and hygiene practices in handling, storage and disposal.
• Set up stations with par stocks, maintain cleanliness and assist with prep tasks.
• Collaborate with the culinary team, attend daily meetings and support colleagues.
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure maintenance of kitchen tools.
