Job summary

Mace is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the end-to-end commercial management of work packages, reporting to the project commercial lead, and safeguarding project margins through robust cost control and risk reporting.

You will collaborate with package managers, manage subcontract packages from procurement to final account, drive change management, and support senior leaders to achieve milestones, with MRICS/CSCS and a QS degree.

• JCT contract knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Champion Safety First, ensuring compliance with HSE standards while fostering wellbeing, inclusion and a positive safety culture.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, maintaining quality systems and supporting senior leaders to achieve programme milestones.
• Oversee budgets, risks and ethical governance, contributing to long-term business sustainability.
• Lead collaborative project teams, driving performance, stakeholder engagement and best practice innovation across all phases.
• Manage subcontract packages from procurement and tendering through to final account.
• Lead commercial reporting, cost control, change management, and risk and opportunity processes.
• Protect and enhance project margins through mitigation, value engineering and cost reduction.
• Collaborate across disciplines, embedding carbon reduction and supporting net zero delivery.
