Job summary

MERAKI INTERIORS DECORATION LLC seeks a seasoned Commercial Manager to lead the commercial strategy for interior projects. You will oversee tendering, budgeting, cost control, and cash flow while ensuring profitable outcomes.

The role integrates with design, estimation and procurement to optimize project financials from bid to close. Candidates should have 8–10 years in commercial management or quantity surveying within construction/interiors sectors, plus PMP or Construction Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in commercial management, estimation or quantity surveying.
• Certifications like Construction Management or PMP are advantageous.
• Experience in construction, interiors & fit-out or contracting firms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic commercial plans for growth and profitability.
• Manage commercial performance of fit-out and interior projects from tender to final account.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specs, BOQs and scope of work.
• Coordinate with design estimation and procurement during tendering.
• Manage variations, claims, subcontractor payments and extensions of time.

Job description

Develop and execute strategic commercial plans that align with the organization s goals ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.

Manage the overall commercial performance of fit-out and interior projects from tender stage through final account.

Review tender documents drawings specifications BOQs and scope of work.

Coordinate with the design estimation and procurement teams during tendering.

Manage variations claims subcontractor payments extensions of time and additional works.

Identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions.

Report on revenue cost gross margin variations claims and cash flow.

Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers focusing on favorable terms that enhance profitability and strengthen relationships.

Coordinate with finance regarding collections and cash flow.

Develop commercial procedures and improve cost-control systems.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial management, estimation or quantity surveying.

Professional certifications such as Construction Management, PMP or similar credentials are advantageous.

Experience in sectors like construction, interiors & fit out or contracting firms is preferred to understand specific market dynamics.
