A leading energy solutions provider is seeking a Commercial Bid Manager in Dubai to manage the commercial aspects of bids, lead negotiations, and support strategic initiatives in the energy transmission sector. The role requires a professional qualification in Finance/Business and experience in managing customer bids. About the Role

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role you will be responsible for assisting the tendering team on all commercial, financial and contractual topics starting from offer preparation till contract award for Siemens Energy Grid Technologies Service business. You will also actively participate, and lead negotiations related to your work with the customers. In addition, you will also act as region Middle East coordinator for the internal approval process called Limit of Authority (LoA) for qualifying bids.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Responsible for all financial and commercial activities till project acquisition. Managing all commercial aspects of the bid : contract analysis, deviations, cost calculations, business models, financing concepts, currency hedging, risks and opportunities, bid bonds, payment terms, credit risks, insurances, export control, compliance etc.
  • Relationship management with external project stakeholders customers, consultants, consortium partners etc. and relationship management with internal stakeholders and functions, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Insurance, Taxes etc.
  • Supporting Bidding Manager to develop winning strategies.
  • Understanding customers’ requirements, evaluation method and criteria and competitors’ commercial condition and pricing strategies.
  • Developing risk and opportunity overview. Working towards process improvements and implementing digitalization / AI.
  • Participating in commercial and contractual negotiations with the customer and Support optimization of sales / bid processes through lessons learned.
What You Bring
  • Experience of commercially managing external customer bids for major projects, preferably in energy transmission arena.
  • Professional qualification with an emphasis on Finance / Business.
  • Profound understanding of commercial and contractual topics including risks related to project business.
