EMIRATES GLOBAL ALUMINIUM (EGA) is seeking an experienced professional to manage technical skill assessments and coaching for operational employees. This role emphasizes compliance with environmental policies while enhancing employees' technical proficiency.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience within EGA and extensive knowledge in coaching and assessments. Responsibilities include monitoring employee skill development, reporting outcomes, and making recommendations for additional training.
Conform to both EHS and ESG standards, upholding ethical and safety practices. Integral to enterprise responsibility, this role enforces compliance with environmental and social governance policies.
Conduct thorough assessments of operational employees technical skills.
Responsible for evaluating employees technical skills through structured observation and assessment cycles.
Provide feedback and certify the mastery level of employees in specific operational tasks, ensuring they meet the organization’s standards of operational excellence.
Deliver targeted coaching to enhance employees technical proficiency.
Adapt coaching methods to meet the varying needs of employees and operational demands.
Provide hands‑on coaching to employees focusing on skill tuning for specific tasks identified during assessments.
Work closely with employees in the field, offering real‑time guidance and support to improve their technical abilities and operational efficiency.
Adjust coaching styles and content to suit the diverse learning styles, skill levels and job roles of employees, ensuring coaching is effective and relevant as operational circumstances and requirements change.
Transfer and document tacit knowledge to support continuous learning.
Capture critical operational knowledge from experienced employees and transfer it to newer team members through structured coaching programs.
Ensure the sustainability of operational expertise within the organization and support the development of knowledge resources for future use.
Monitor employee progress and report on skill development outcomes.
Certify the mastery level of employees in their operational roles.
Track the progress of employees’ skill development, generating detailed reports that highlight areas of improvement and focus for the next review cycle.
Share reports with area leaders to align coaching efforts with operational priorities and strategic goals.
Determine whether an employee has achieved mastery in their operational role through rigorous assessment and validation of skills, ensuring that only those who meet high standards of proficiency are certified as masters in their respective tasks.
Identify and recommend additional training programs to address skill gaps.
Based on observations and assessments, identify skill gaps and recommend formal training programs or other development options to address deficiencies.
Ensure a proactive approach so that employees continue to develop the necessary skills to meet operational demands effectively.
Identify and analyze opportunities to enhance cost efficiency and operational effectiveness within the organization.
Gather data, conduct assessments, and suggest actionable improvements.
Support the organization by uncovering areas where improvements can be made to optimize resources, reduce expenses, and enhance operational performance.
Support effective communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure regular interactions so that stakeholders are informed and their needs are addressed promptly.
Maintain consistent stakeholder engagement to support smooth operations and successful project execution.
Works and reports to his/her manager on matters such as approvals for training budgets and changes to policies and procedures while working in the assigned plant area.
Makes decisions related to the coaching and assessment of trainees within agreed procedures and standards.
Responsible for coaching in the assigned area, including evaluation of training in the classroom and on the plant.
