Job Purpose
Plans, coordinates, develops and delivers specific training modules for plant employees in one of the operation technical areas and manages the training schedules to ensure proper delivery of training as per operations needs and in line with agreed standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan and deliver training to EGA employees in respective operation areas and coordinate with Area Supervisors to assess training needs and delivery schedule.
- Verify the effectiveness of training through surveys, one‑to‑one interviews with customers and trainees, and comparing programs to standards set as per accreditation bodies.
- Discipline, controls and monitors trainees' absenteeism, performance and discipline according to EGA policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Operations personnel to follow‑up on employees’ progress and behaviour.
- Document control: prepare technical documents, texts, presentations and hand‑outs for plant employees assigned on training courses or involved in on‑the‑job training to acquire skills and expertise.
- Update trainee profiles as per procedures for document control.
- Develop and update training procedures and materials in line with the latest process, equipment and technological changes, including writing training specifications, task analyses, assessments and questionnaires.
- EHS/FS accreditations: ensure compliance of training programs, trainees and facilities to EGA EHS/FS standards, all international standards ISO and accreditation criteria.
- Reporting: hold meetings with trainees, mentors and departmental line supervisors as required; complete progress reports and communicate the academic, technical and on‑the‑job training achievements to departmental management to ensure accurate training evaluation and verification is carried out and recorded in accordance with ISO9001 and29990 requirements.
- Assist in the development of programme content and assessment criteria to meet specific departmental requirements and those of external bodies to ensure a consistent approach to content, time scale, numbering and format in accordance with ISO9001 and29990 requirements.
- Perform other duties as and when required by the department.
Authority / Decision Making
Works and reports to his/her Manager on matters such as approvals for training budgets and changes to policies and procedures.
Responsible for training in assigned area including evaluation of training in the classroom and on the plant.
Minimum Qualifications
High School or approved Diploma/Certificate +7years of experience in relevant field.
UAE driving licence for light vehicles, and light and heavy mechanical equipment (CAT7 or8) according to field of expertise is preferable.
Relevant recognised certificate or other qualification in design and delivery of training.
Minimum Experience
2–3years experience required with operational process.
