Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking a CNC Supervisor to lead the CNC and machine shop function within the RM2 & RM3 Roll Shop. You will ensure roll spares are machined per the production plan and manage second-line data and resources, while supporting the Roll Shop Supervisor as needed.

The role requires leadership, planning, and cost-conscious decision making, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement across CNC and conventional machines.

Qualifications

• Good written and spoken English skills.
• Computer skills (MS Office, SAP and Level 2).
• Knowledge of CNC roll turning and ring grinding machines – operation, programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of materials – roll and ring grades and their machining requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee CNC and machine shop activities to meet production plans and objectives.
• Plan and organize machining, repair and maintenance activities with efficient resource allocation.
• Prepare annual budget for CNC and conventional machines and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Manage CNC programs, verify correct programs and maintain library; prepare drawings using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and follow up on breakdowns until closure.
• Drive continuous improvement and safe working practices; ensure compliance with safety and quality policies.
• Maintain records and data for rolls/rings and M2 level data; coordinate procurement requests.
