Job description

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently.

• Load/unload materials and tools, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.

• Monitor machine performance during production runs and make necessary adjustments.

• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines.

Programming

• Create and edit CNC programs using G-code and/or CAM software (e.g., Powermill, Mastercam, Fusion 360).

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

• Determine the best machining strategies, tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job.

• Simulate and test toolpaths prior to production to ensure accuracy and avoid machine collisions.

• Maintain and update documentation for all programs and machine setups.
