Job summary

AL TARIQ in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced CNC Milling Operator to set up and run machines, translating engineering drawings into production dimensions.

You will monitor tools, perform maintenance and log production data, ensuring parts meet client specifications.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or trade qualification and at least three years of machining experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as CNC milling operator.
• Experience translating mechanical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Trade school or high school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC milling machines for drilling, grinding, milling and turning.
• Translate engineering drawings into production dimensions.
• Monitor and adjust processes to improve results.
• Record production and quality logs with detailed equipment data.
• Perform maintenance and coolant monitoring on equipment daily.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance with drawings.
• Perform in-process measurement and visual inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling & turning.
• Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
• Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
• Load and unload raw materials and equipment.
• Record all machine related actions by completing production and quality logs, keeping detailed records for equipment and procedures.
• Perform necessary maintenance, Coolant Monitoring and cleaning of equipmentdaily.
• Inspect finished product to ensure that results of machining process align with clientexpectations.
• Perform general machine trouble shooting to minimize down time.
• Perform In- Process Measurement and Visual Inspection to ensure the quality of product meets customer requirements.
• Fill in all controlled required documents and SFC data entry including down time on daily basis.
• Monitor scrap levels against the parts produced under your responsibility and highlight if levels exceed average.
• Set up cutting tools as per Cutting tool list, using a heat shrink fit, dynamic tool balancer, to ensure tools are in line with the drawing requirement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Trade School Accreditation/High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate or diploma in Engineering is an advantage.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S under the area of responsibility.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a CNC Milling machine operator (Milling and Turning).
• Proven experience translating mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
