Job summary

Dmcdubai is seeking a skilled CNC Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service CNC machines at customer sites across the UAE. You will assemble, align, calibrate and test systems, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires hands-on experience with FANUC and Siemens SINUMERIK controllers, PLC diagnostics, wiring and drawings, plus on-site customer coaching. Travel across the UAE and GCC will be involved; fluent English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of CNC installation, commissioning and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of FANUC CNC systems.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens SINUMERIK controllers.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred or mandatory as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission CNC machines at customer sites, including assembly, alignment, leveling, calibration, wiring and testing.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and provide reactive breakdown support.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and CNC control system issues.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and PLC ladder diagrams.
• Provide on-site training to customer personnel and prepare detailed service reports.

Key Responsibilities

Install and commission new CNC machines at customer sites, including assembly, alignment, leveling, calibration, wiring, and final testing to ensure the machines are fully operational Perform planned preventive maintenance and provide reactive breakdown support to minimize machine downtime Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control systems Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) ladder diagrams to carry out repairs and maintenance Provide technical training to customer personnel on the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of CNC equipment Prepare detailed service reports documenting hours worked, installations completed, repairs performed, parts used, and technical recommendations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machine installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with CNC milling machines is mandatory Experience working with machine tool manufacturers, CNC distributors, or authorized service providers is preferred Experience in customer-facing field service roles Strong knowledge of FANUC CNC systems and software maintenance functions Strong knowledge of Siemens SINUMERIK controllers (828D, 840D, and SINUMERIK ONE) and their software maintenance functions Knowledge of CNC parameter backup, restoration, and recovery procedures Knowledge of PLC diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques Knowledge of servo and spindle drive diagnostics Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is an advantage Valid UAE driving license (preferred or mandatory, as per company policy) Willingness and ability to travel across the UAE and GCC countries Good command of written and spoken English.
