Job summary

Accor is seeking a capable Senior Engineering Leader to manage the Engineering, Maintenance and Asset Management functions for two luxury hotels in Dubai. You will drive asset reliability, CAPEX planning and cross-functional collaboration with General Managers and owning partners to optimize operation and guest comfort.

The role requires extensive experience with MEP systems, risk management, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance, operating within an international hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years’ engineering experience, preferably in upscale hospitality, commercial buildings or large-scale properties.
• 3–5 years in a senior Engineering/Technical leadership role, ideally managing multiple properties or complex assets.
• Proven experience managing hotel building infrastructure, MEP systems, chillers/HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety and building systems.
• Strong experience in CAPEX, major renovations, technical projects and asset lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of UAE/local authority regulations, Civil Defense and HSE requirements.
• Understanding of energy management, sustainability, utility optimization and ESG initiatives.
• Experience managing engineering budgets, OPEX/CAPEX, contractors, consultants and technical suppliers.
• Ability to work with General Managers, hotel leadership and property owners/representatives.
• Strong commercial, analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional engineering certification or membership is preferred.
• Hotel engineering experience within an international hospitality group is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall Engineering, Maintenance and Asset Management across both hotels.
• Oversee integrity and performance of building infrastructure (MEP, chillers, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety).
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximise asset reliability.
• Establish long-term asset management and replacement plans.
• Lead major engineering projects, renovations and upgrades from concept to handover.
• Manage Engineering CAPEX plans, budgets and business cases with Cluster GM and Owning Company.
• Act as senior technical advisor to Cluster GM and Owning Company Representative.
• Provide technical review of consultants, contractors, designs, tenders and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, fire and life-safety standards, brand standards.
• Lead engineering risk management, emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
• Drive energy, water and utility optimisation across both properties.
• Lead sustainability initiatives supporting ESG and carbon-reduction goals.
• Monitor OPEX, utility costs, and contractor performance for optimisation.
• Establish engineering KPIs and monitor equipment availability and downtime.
• Ensure engineering standards support guest experience across all areas.
• Manage supplier relationships and technical service providers.
• Lead and develop Engineering teams; foster high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Security and other stakeholders for asset management.
