John Keells IT is seeking a Cloud Engineer in the UAE to design, deploy and manage Azure infrastructure. The role focuses on IaC (ARM or Terraform), Azure SQL/PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, and container workloads with Docker/Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year Azure experience, AZ-305 certification, solid Linux troubleshooting, and familiarity with Azure Landing Zones and security controls. UAE-based candidates preferred.

Formación

• Minimum 1+ years hands-on experience in Azure cloud environments.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification.
• Strong understanding of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with container-based solutions (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Understanding of Azure Landing Zone concepts, governance, and cloud security controls.
• Familiarity with VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints is a plus.

We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Cloud Engineer The selected candidate will report to the Practice Manager – Cloud.

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for:

• Designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure and services in accordance with best practices.
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as ARM templates or Terraform.
• Managing and supporting Azure PaaS services including databases (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL,etc.)
• Deploying and maintaining containerized workloads using Azure Container Apps or related services.
• Supporting Linux-based workloads, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Contributing to the implementation and governance of Azure Landing Zones and cloud security best practices.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Minimum 1+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud environments.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification.
• Strong understanding of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with container-based solutions (Docker/Kubernetes fundamentals).
• Understanding of Azure Landing Zone concepts, governance, and cloud security controls.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints) is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Candidate must be currently based in the UAE.

Remuneration details:

AED 8,000 - 10,000.00 (Excluding Visa, Insurance and Airfare)
